This year’s Fall minis were thrown a small curveball. Half of our sessions had to reschedule due to a full day of rain. but we were also lucky because this rain helped bring all the fall colors to life around the Blue Ridge.
The Boone & Roth Families were able to keep their mini sessions and you can find the recap of their images here:
What a weekend! This is our last year offering fall mini sessions, and I’m definitely going out with a bang. I photographed four beautiful families this time, and it was a blast! Thankfully, we were treated to a gorgeous autumn day in the Blue Ridge. The weather was beautifully crisp, without a drop of precipitation!
Can I be honest? I had so much anxiety leading up to this event. Relationships with my clients are a cornerstone of my business, but how on earth would I be able to form them in just 20 minutes? All in one day?! These families deserve to have the best experience. It’s a lot of pressure, but I’m relieved to say that my fears were TOTALLY unfounded!
To make sure everyone still got a taste of the full experience, I sent detailed prep & style guides weeks before the event, along with questionnaires so that I could get to know each family before the big day. Everyone’s outfits were ON POINT, and it felt like I was photographing friends which is always my goal. But most of all, I was so thankful for parents with tons of patience, good attitudes, and lots of grace. I hope I get to spend more time with each and every one of you in the future!
Mini sessions can be stressful. It takes a long time to choose the perfect outfits, get everyone ready, and to keep spirits high on the day of. And then before you know it, the session is over! Fear not, my sweet clients, because everyone did AMAZING! Seriously, there is so much more goodness where these came from!
