Check out the pure cuteness from this year’s Kents Store Christmas Mini Sessions!
It’s always a little risky doing our outdoor Christmas mini sessions in November with the unpredictable Virginia weather. But this year, we were extraordinarily blessed with a beautiful high 50 degrees and so much sunshine for our weekend of Christmas minis!
Maybe it’s because I am crazy booked and God just knew there wasn’t time for rescheduling all five families for Christmas minis! Either way, I’m so thankful we had lots of sunshine and even more smiles from all these cuties!

CHRISTMAS MINI SESSIONS | 2019 RECAP
Starting our weekend was our newest Silverbridge Family the Wynns! Kayla is great friends with the Boone Family from our Fall Minis. After sharing some of our favorites from the fall Kayla quickly booked their first Family Christmas photos for our Christmas Mini Sessions! #WelcomeToTheFamily
You might remember the Waterworth Boys from their Generational Family Session last year in Richmond. This year they traveled the just over an hour drive to Kents Store for their turn with our Fire Truck! Their dad is a career firefighter for Richmond City, so this couldn’t be more perfect for their family and age!
Third, in our weekend of mini sessions was our favorite girls the Whitleys! We photograph these beauties multiple times in the year, but this year’s favorite session was their Micro Session with Dad’s Harley! So when they signed up for their holiday photos too I was extra excited.
Another family that I get to visit this time of year like clockwork is The Herrmanns! Kelley and I grew up together as very close friends. In fact, as friends in high school, Kelley was enrolled and very interested in photography whereas I was more interested in color guard and afterschool jobs. Since then we have both stayed good friends and make sure every year we schedule a time to catch up and snag updated family photos. I look forward to this every year.
This year is a little extra special since in a few short weeks Kelley and Mike will be getting MARRIED! Yep, I am ending my 2019 year with a beautiful winter elopement at the Historic Hanover Court House & the bonus is it’s for such a close friend!
I got to finish our Holiday minis this year with the Schwartz Family. Who has been a bit of regular in front of our camera this year. The started with one of our early Spring mini sessions on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then ending our year together too with a holiday mini. Mason loved the chance to climb all over and flip as many switches as he could get his hands-on of the borrowed firetruck.
What in on next year’s mini sessions?
A few weeks ago I released our mini session schedule for 2020. We will be hosting another round of Blue Ridge Minis & Holiday Minis this time styling both with the help of a local designer.
May 9 will hold 10 session times
starting at 2:00 pm
November 21 will hold 6 session times
November 22 will hold 6 session times
starting at 1:00 pm
These sessions would never of happened this year if it wasn’t for our great friends around Kents Store, VA! From Fred who let us use his beautiful tree farm to Jeff who brought us his personal fire truck, we would be lost without you!
