Isn’t the internet just a marvelous thing? If it wasn’t for the internet I would have never got to meet Felicia & Dan. I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to meet them early on a Monday morning for their destination engagement photos at the D.C. Memorials. This adorable couple LOVES TO TRAVEL and in true couple activity fashion, they had planned a weekend getaway from their home state of Massachusetts to D.C. over the summer. When Felicia reached out to me about this session I loved how receptive they both were to waking up EXTRA early while on their vacation for sunrise engagement photos at D.C. Memorials.
You just can’t beat those skyline colors at 7:00am. Our time together started at the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial with a view of the World War II Memorial, the Washington Memorial, and the US Capitol Building. I mean if you’re going to spend a few hours on a plane for engagement photos at D.C. memorials this is the way to do it. But we didn’t stop there making our way over to the D.C. War Memorial, and the Tidal Basin for more fun and a casual outfit change.
It’s one of my favorite parts of my chosen career path, getting to meet so many great souls and being able to leave a lasting memory with them. In the few hours that I spent with Felicia and Dan, it was clear, their relationship is rooted in love and respect for one another. I seriously hope our paths cross again in the future.
Clearly I love exploring and photographing a lot of the little spots around the D.C. but these are some of my favorites for engagement photos at D.C. memorials hands down!
