I'm Erica a D.C. wedding photographer, with two young children, and a love for organization. Welcome to my small space on the internet where I can share with you special sessions, real weddings, and even little looks into my everyday life. Take a look around, and thanks for stopping by!
A couple of weeks ago I got to photograph one of my last couples for 2021. Debbie and John are the sweetest people & clearly head over heels for each other. They are celebrating their next chapter of their love story this October with a beautiful fall wedding at The Winery at Bull Run. With […]
The dreamiest of Lincoln Memorial summer shoots is coming your way!! Abby and Caleb woke up extra early on this Sunday morning to meet me on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in our nations capital. This was not my first time at sunrise on these steps, but it was seriously empty compared to the […]
Kendall & Chase are the all American perfect couple! They are both from a small town just north of Richmond where they met in school. Now as adults Kendall is a teacher at the local elementary school and Chase is a Firefighter for Stafford County. When I arrived at Kendall’s family home for our session […]
If 2020 taught me anything in my own business it was really how important community really is. Yeah I have a team of second shooters that I call on when I need a second set of hands on a wedding day or at a session, but if COVID-19 showed us anything we need a team and systems in place for when the un-thinkable comes along. We need a clear way to still service our couples that allows us to also rest easy when the times are the toughest.
I absolutely love every time a past wedding couple chooses to have anniversary session in celebration of completing their first year as husband & wife! With the first traditional gift for the first anniversary being paper, a portrait session, resulting in beautiful photographic prints, is the perfect gift! (hint, hint) Using these photos to update any wall gallery along side your wedding images is a great anniversary gift idea!
2020 has become my year of returning couples for pregnancies. Jamie and Josh are my third returning couple to share with me their joyous news. I first met Jamie and Josh for their engagement portraits back in 2017 at Tuckahoe.
I absolutely love it when my past wedding couples return almost yearly for a sweetheart session. I have always been a strong advocate for making time for just you and your partner. May it be date nights, a quiet dinner at home, or more excitedly a yearly sweetheart session to show how your love has grown over the years.
