Senior Pictures in Winchester VA

Millbrook High School Senior | Caitlyn

This senior session is an extra special one that I can’t wait to share with you! This June, my niece is graduating from Millbrook High School, and I just photographed her senior pictures in Winchester, VA! Now, I adore getting to be Caitlyn’s aunt. We’ve always had fun together. In fact I’ve hired her as my assistant on several wedding days. So getting to put her in front of my camera and let her personality shine made my year!

I obviously didn’t need the senior questionnaire from Caitlyn to start planning the perfect session. She has always been an artist, someone that loves unusual things, and an avid reader. Oh, and she LOVES her boots! I’m honestly not sure that I’ve ever seen her wear anything other than boots. So I took all of that into consideration and we planned for a morning of portraits around downtown Winchester.

In all, we probably visited a total of 5 different locations with my favorite being the top of a parking garage! I don’t normally have a reason to step out of my normal element of beautiful monuments, flowing green fields, and mountain tops. But when I suggested a parking garage, 90s-grunge feel to these portraits, Caitlyn’s eyes lit up!

With four outfits and five locations our session lasted just over two hours with included travel time between locations. When reviewing all the hundreds of images the afternoon of our session I got a little sentimental thinking back to the day when I first met my niece, and again when she was a part of my wedding party when I married her uncle:

Anyway enough memory lane, I am so excited to see where life takes my beautiful niece after this last year of high school.
