Getting the chance to return to another Janna Brown editorial shoot in less than a year, was unbelievable. When envisioning this shoot for a European-inspired wedding editorial, set against the backdrop of the exquisite Salubria Manor in Culpeper, I could not have fathomed a more breathtaking outcome. The presence of enchanting floral arrangements, working with experienced models, and the sheer splendor of the venue all coalesced to create a truly magnificent experience.
Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Virginia, this historic estate served as the perfect backdrop for a European-inspired wedding editorial in April. Salubria is a historic wedding venue with breathtaking views of the beautiful countryside. This elegant estate offers a picturesque setting for couples seeking a romantic and charming wedding celebration. It exuded an old-world charm reminiscent of European châteaus.
The mansion at Salubria boasts a grand facade with classic architectural elements, including symmetrical windows, a central entrance, and stately columns. The interior showcases period details such as ornate moldings, high ceilings, and beautiful hardwood floors, providing an elegant backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
The styling of the editorial focused on creating an atmosphere of refined elegance. With a mix of refined indoor styling & outdoor displays Janna brought her luxury styling with a passion. The reception area boasted a long banquet table adorned with vintage-inspired tableware, gold accents, and soft, textured linens. Then the centerpiece arrangements showcased a mix of garden roses, peonies, and trailing ivy, evoking the ambiance of any European garden.
April in Virginia can be some of the most beautiful weather days all year long. I remember taking the hour drive to Salubria with my windows down and my favorite wedding hype playlist turned up. With each mile that went by the anticipation and excitement was growing. This was my second Janna Brown Editorial so I was much more at ease as I arrived to know exactly what I was in store for.
Attending an editorial wedding shoot as a photographer can be such a rewarding experience. Allowing you to photograph a passion project, luxury styling, and even make new photo friends from all across the country. Working closely with a group of 4 other lovely ladies from around the East Coast, we excitedly captured unique and visually stunning images.
The combination of the grand mansion, manicured gardens, and tranquil surroundings creates an atmosphere of romance and elegance, making Salubria a truly remarkable location for editorial shoots.
These images really evoked a creative spark that I have carried with me through the start of my 11th year. Would I attend a third Janna Brown Editorial Shoot? Absolutely but with an expanded destination. I would like my next editorial to be one hosted in Europe or maybe even the west coast. To create beautiful images all while getting to travel to new and exciting locations.
