Bandit’s Ridge Wedding Venue isn’t like a lot of other wedding venues. You will drive right by it thinking it’s just another working farm amongst the others around here. I think that realistic charm is one of the biggest selling points to so many couples around central Virginia.
I live in a small and rural part of Virginia with lots of open land and fields and not many wedding venues. That’s why, in a lot of my posts, you see me traveling an hour plus to places like D.C. or Richmond to photograph beautiful weddings. But this year, I got so lucky photographing Samantha & Francis’s Wedding just 15 miles from my home!
With golden fields, working barns, and majestic horses roaming the property, Bandit’s Ridge is a beautiful wedding venue. When Francis reached out to me about their wedding over Memorial weekend, I was so excited for my high school friend.
Finding the love of his life in such a kind soul like Samantha is something we should all be so lucky to have. Their wedding day was beautiful. With a sunshine-filled afternoon ceremony followed by a reception night ending by the fire, their wedding was filled with love and friends making memories of a lifetime.
I’ve known Francis for a lot of years and being a firefighter has always been in his blood. Even when we were in school, he would spend his afternoons at the local firehouse running drills, cleaning trucks and learning for his future career. So when I saw the decor choices for their wedding reception, I was not at all surprised they chose red and yellow for their colors and a small fire ax for their cake cutter. So unique!!
Check out all the fun from their wedding day below in some of my favorite images. And you can see more barn weddings I’ve photographed on my blog.
