When I photograph couples like Rebecca and Tyler, it’s a reminder of how perfect my couples are for me! For their DC engagement photos, we met at The Kennedy Center, and it was the perfect location! Between the gold columns and white marble, I was in photographer heaven. Plus, a few months prior, Tyler had pulled off the perfect proposal for Rebecca in this very spot!
Rebecca and Tyler met while they were both in grad school at Texas A&M in the International Studies program. This was perfect for their dreams of living and working in D.C. We chatted the morning away about traveling, their love of theater, and D.C. traffic. It was clear to me this sweet couple was head over heels in love with each other.
They both have the absolute kindest hearts, I was almost in tears when Rebecca texted me the night before our session as asked if I would like anything from Starbucks before our sunrise session! I mean what a gem!!
Clearly, The Kennedy Center was a high priority on our session location options, but that didn’t stop us from taking more portraits at my all time favorite monument, The Lincoln Memorial! I swear no matter how many times I photograph new couples here it never gets old!
Rebecca and Tyler are getting married next January in Dallas, Texas at Frontiers of Flight Museum, and I know it is going to be an incredible day! For now, enjoy some of my favorites from their Kennedy Center engagement!
I love that my clients take me all over the DMV for sessions and weddings! Check out one of my favorite weddings that in fact referred Rebecca and Tyler to me for their wedding day!
