Rachel and Eric’s engagement photos at the US Capitol Grounds were challenging but rewarding. I have to admit, this was a difficult session for me because the weather was HOT. However, Rachel and Eric were total troopers, and I’m really proud of the way their photos turned out.

Because the weather was so incredibly hot, we had to work more in shade than I usually like. I also had a social media expert following me around for b-roll of behind the scenes. This made me so nervous about going to wrong place to take photos and being confronted by the national police. I absolutely hate getting in trouble, and the security in this area is obviously very strict!

Luckily, Rachel and Eric’s photos still turned out amazing. They are such an attractive couple, and their wardrobe choices were on point!

Rachel and Eric were so joyful in front of the camera. They have wonderful chemistry. Rachel is super smart. She is currently finishing up her PhD and preparing for a dream position at a university in Ohio.
Eric is quiet and reserved; the perfect opposite to Rachel. They are so deeply in love, and it shows every time Eric looks at Rachel.

They choose to bring their rescue pup along too. He was rescued from Puerto Rico right after the Harvey devastation back in 2017. He is the kind of pup that was very interested in new places and was VERY vocal towards other dogs. Luckily we used some of my tips for including dogs in engagement photos to make it all a breeze!
