One of the most memorable engagement sessions at the Lincoln Memorial recently was with Theresa and Neil. Despite working there multiple times a year, this session stood out to me. We arrived a few minutes before sunrise to take advantage of the amazing morning light before it became too bright. The stunning colors of the sunrise were possibly the prettiest. Afterwards, the sun hid behind the clouds, allowing us to take shots in areas that are usually too bright or crowded.
Theresa and Neil’s engagement session was not just a beautiful photo shoot, but it also told the story of their love and how they got to where they are now. Hearing about their journey was so heartwarming, and it’s clear that they are meant to be together.
During the shoot, I was impressed by how comfortable they were with each other in front of the camera. Their love was evident in the way they looked at each other and interacted, making my job as a photographer so much easier. It’s always a pleasure to work with couples like Theresa and Neil, who are not only photogenic but also genuinely in love.
Then during our walk around the Lincoln Memorial, we shared stories and laughs, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Afterwards we enjoyed the Spring weather while Theresa and Neil told me all about their recent trip to Paris. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a photographer. Having the chance to capture special moments for couples like Theresa and Neil.
Overall, their engagement session was a reminder of how beautiful and powerful love can be. It was an honor to document their love story and to create beautiful images that they can cherish forever.
Theresa and Neil have chosen a beautiful fall wedding date that also doubles and my Birthday, September 23. Plus they have chosen one of my favorite Northern Virginia Wedding Venues that has breathtaking mountain views Blue Hill Farm. I am very pleased to be spending my 35th birthday with such a lovely couple.
