I’m grateful to be starting this week by sharing some lovely engagement photos with you. Emilie and Alex’s Cana Vineyard and Winery engagement session was on a picturesque Friday afternoon in the peak fall colors. It made my Virginia engagement photographer heart so happy!
When I initially met with Emilie and Alex for their Surprise Proposal at The Point Overlook back over the summer, they mentioned how they loved spending their weekends at vineyards and their excitement over moving to the Northern Virginia area from North Carolina very soon. So I was ecstatic when the date finally rolled around! I headed north to Middleburg and met them at another winery! The vineyard is absolutely gorgeous, and was the perfect backdrop for Emilie and Alex’s photos!
We took over the grounds of the vineyard one Friday afternoon as they were preparing for a sunset wedding. I really loved the relaxed feel of this engagement shoot. It just felt like any other day hanging out at a vineyard and enjoying life. Emilie and Alex are so great to work with, and you can tell how much they adore one another in their photos. I can’t wait to work with them again in the Fall for their Frieden Farms wedding.
Emilie and Alex had an extra special engagement session. We actually planned their engagement photos for two separate days. The first (and main shoot) was at Cana. Then the following day we met at a local hiking trail and brought out Rocky and Kaia. We had a quick session to include them in all the fun too. We got a quick workout in and I got to get lots of cuddle loves to the puppies, all while grabbing some very personalized engagement images that couldn’t scream Emilie and Alex more!
