The day began with excitement in the air as I arrived early to capture the venue’s stunning garden vibes and vintage accents. The Elkridge Furnace Inn, with its lush greenery and historic manor, provided a picturesque backdrop for the day’s events. The large window in the Bridal suite and the winding staircase were perfect for those timeless shots.
Brita, dressed in a beautiful zip-up wedding dress, shared a heartfelt first look with her dad in the side yard of the venue. The emotion in the air was palpable as they embraced, creating a tender moment that set the tone for the day. Following this, Brita and Justin had their own first look, a moment filled with joy and anticipation as they saw each other for the first time amidst the greenery in the side yard of The Elkridge Furnace Inn.
The ceremony in the garden was intimate and beautiful, where Justin and Brita exchanged personal vows and shared five light-hearted reasons they love each other. Their words were filled with sincerity and humor, bringing both laughter and tears to their guests.
As the sun began to set, guests gathered for the reception. Brita and Justin made their grand entrance and shared their first dance to “I’m With You” by Vance Joy, a moment of pure bliss that everyone will remember. The dinner service followed, featuring a delicious meal that had everyone raving.
Speeches and toasts brought laughter and tears as friends and family shared stories and wishes for the couple’s future. The parent dances that followed were equally touching, with Brita dancing with her father and Justin with his mother under the evening sky. The dance floor opened, and the celebration kicked into high gear. Brita and Justin’s friends and family danced the night away, creating candid moments filled with energy and emotion. The cake cutting and bouquet toss added more fun to the night, and soon after, guests enjoyed delicious cake and desserts.
As the night came to a close with the last dance, Brita and Justin were surrounded by love and joy, ready to embark on their honeymoon in Jamaica. Their wedding day was everything they had envisioned – timeless, elegant, and filled with love.
Reflecting on their experience, Brita and Justin shared, “We cannot thank Erica enough for helping to make our wedding absolutely perfect! We think she may be superhuman with how much she was able to accomplish and shoot on our wedding day amidst all the chaos. Erica’s outstanding professionalism, flexibility, and expertise made us and our family feel comfortable in front of the camera. We have already received our sneak peek gallery and are obsessed with how the photos turned out so far. Throughout the day, she was making sure that we were in optimal lighting and positioned us in front of beautiful backdrops. She arrived at our venue way earlier than expected just in case there was traffic (since she traveled all the way to Maryland for our wedding!). She spent the time to do all of our “detail” shots before we even arrived at the venue to optimize time. Throughout the whole process, engagement shoot included, she was communicative and so easy to work with. We wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to be our photographer. Thank you, Erica, for everything!”
