The dreamiest of Washington DC engagement photos are coming your way! I absolutely love photographing in Washington D.C. Abby and Caleb woke up extra early on this Sunday morning for our session. We met on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in our nation’s capital. This was not my first time shooting at sunrise on these steps. However, it was seriously empty compared to the hundreds of other times I had been here before. This pretty much gave us almost unlimited access to all the amazing spots!
If you want to take photos in a busy place, sunrise sessions are the way to go! You’ll have open access and far less distractions in the background. Plus, it can be difficult to relax in front of the camera when you feel like there is a large audience around. While the early morning alarm may not be fun, I promise it will be worth it!
I was over-the-moon excited when Abby and Caleb picked me to photograph their Great Marsh Estate wedding in September. I’m literally counting down the days with them! We had the BEST (and sweatiest!) time walking around downtown Washington D.C. We explored some of my favorite spots: Lincoln Memorial, Reflecting Pool, & American Pharmacists Association.
Abby and Caleb were NATURALS in front of the camera and have the BEST style! I loved their classic wardrobe choices and color selections with the backdrops of DC. Enjoy some highlights from their Washington DC engagement photos below!
