The charming streets of Old Town Alexandria have witnessed countless love stories over the years. Erika and Luke’s tale is just one of many, but their recent anniversary session, set against the backdrop of Jones Point Park and the Alexandria Waterfront, was nothing short of magical. The entire session was a testament to their devoted and glowing love for each other.
The Scene:
Although Virginia’s fall weather tried to play tricks on us (cue a surprise rainstorm causing us to reschedule), we eventually got the perfect sunny day. When we reconvened four days later, the sun cast a golden hue over Jones Point Park, while the calm waters offered a serene ambiance. The atmosphere was palpably adoring, devoted, and glowing.
The Locations:
Old Town Alexandria is a favorite among many, but Erika and Luke wanted something a bit off the beaten path. We started our session at the historic Jones Point Park, where the waterfront and the iconic lighthouse became the perfect backdrop for this lovely couple. From there, we ventured to the pedestrian tunnel and boat docks, offering a fresh perspective on the well-loved city.
Special Moments:
One of the most delightful surprises of the session was Mondo, Erika and Luke’s fur-baby. As a wedding photographer, there’s something uniquely sweet about capturing couples with their pets. Mondo, with his endearing antics, undoubtedly stole the show for a few shots.
